Previously, I shared some tricks of the trade of how to achieve a flawless foundation base for your makeup routine. If you want to take your skills to the next level, then read on for tips on how to make the triple combo- eyes, brows and lips pop!

Some people say eyes are the window to the soul… Everyone’s eye shape is different but regardless of whether your eyes are oval, round, feline or small, you can enhance their natural beauty with a few tricks.

  • Blend bronzer on your lids for a quick natural makeup look.
  • Use eyeshadow as eyeliner for a soft glam effect.
  • When applying glitter eyeshadow, spray your brush with setting spray or water beforehand to make the pigment brighter.
  • Put eyelash primer on lashes before mascara to create the illusion of longer lashes.
  • Apply a nude eye pencil in your eye water line to give the illusion of bigger eyes.
  • Use a black eye pencil in the eye water line to give the illusion of smaller eyes.

Brows can really make or break a makeup look but everyone’s eyebrow preference is different. Personally, I prefer a softer brow which I do by creating hair like strokes with a brow pencil. After gently filling in your brows you can;

  • Conceal the top of your brow with your foundation shade to avoid harsh lines.
  • Conceal underneath your brow with a concealer two shades lighter than your foundation to lift the eyes.
  • Lock your brows into place by brushing a clear or tinted brow gel through your brows.
  • Set your brows with got2B setting spray, sprayed onto an eyebrow spoolie, then brush the product through your brows, which defines the individual hairs even more.

  • To save time, tint your brows with semi-permanent eyebrow tint so your eyebrows are always party ready!

As with everything in makeup, when it comes to lips, whether you prefer gloss, satin, soft matte or matte all depends on your preference. Personally, I love a glossy lip but the choice is yours. When applying any lip products to enhance your natural lips you can;

  • Contour around lips with a darker concealer shade, to give the illusion of plumper lips.
  • Use a darker shade on the perimeter of your lips and fill the middle with a lighter shade to create an ombre look.
  • Lightly set your lips with a translucent setting powder and then tap in with your fingers or a brush, to ensure your satin or matte lip has minimal transfer.

Remember, makeup can be used to express who you are or who you want to be for a particular occasion, so do not be afraid to dive in. Whether you are looking to be a dynamic diva, bombshell beauty, natural Nubian or AfroGlobal Ace, the choice is YOURS. There is a tapestry of fun, glitz and glam that awaits you in the world of makeup magic!
